Giorgio, after earning his degree in Agricultural Sciences in 1985, took on increasing responsibilities first in the agro-industrial sector and later in Fine Chemicals at Enichem, where he was in charge of two Business Units. In 1996, he joined the Zambon Group as Commercial Director of the Chemical-Pharmaceutical division, and later moved to the United States to serve as General Manager of Zambon’s American subsidiary. In 2004, he returned to Italy and joined Recordati as Vice President with the mandate to restructure and relaunch the Pharmaceutical Chemistry division.
In 2008, he was appointed CEO and President of Farmabios, a leader in the production of steroids, where he led the acquisition of PharmaZell (Germany). Following the sale of the resulting group, he became CEO of Zach System (Zambon Group). The company was successfully relaunched and sold in 2017.
That same year, he took on the role of CEO and President of Doppel Farmaceutici, a leading pharmaceutical CDMO company backed by Trilantic Capital Partners. Giorgio has also served as CEO of Dietopack, a company operating in the nutraceutical CDMO sector.
